About

Hello!

I’m Beth.

I’m a mum, a parent carer and a homebody.

I’m also someone who believes that motherhood doesn’t have to feel so completely overwhelming all the time.

Motherhood is amazing…but it can also be overwhelming.

If you are a mum who loves her family but feels tired, just a bit overwhelmed and like life has become one really long to-do list then you are in the right place.

I know just how easy it is, especially as a SEN mum, to put yourself last all the time and to feel like you are losing yourself in motherhood.

I’m here to help you stop feeling overwhelmed and burnt out by helping you simplify your home, take better care of yourself and help you feel calmer, in control and more like you again.

This isn’t about overhauling your entire life.

It’s about making tiny changes that actually fit into your life and your motherhood.

My Why

I know just how quickly feeling a bit overwhelmed can turn to burnout.

I know what it’s like when you feel like you are constantly giving your all to everyone else, always rushing around trying to catch up and feeling like no matter how much you get done – there is always more that needs doing.

I’m looking at you laundry.

We are taking care of our kids, trying to keep up with all the demands of our family, our home and get dinner on the table every night and for some of us that is on top of all the medical appointments, the medication and the therapies.

I know what it’s like to stay up a little bit too late on your phone because it’s the only time you get to yourself, or what it feels like when you just feel a bit lost in motherhood but you aren’t sure what to do about it.

And I know how easy it is to put everyone else’s needs first before your own.

I’m guessing you know that feeling too.

What finally changed things for me wasn’t a big, dramatic overhaul of my life.

It was making small changes that started adding up and changing things that fit in with my family and our life.

It wasn’t a case of saying ‘me first’  when it came to self-care but it was a case of me saying ‘me too’.

It was learning how to:

  • Simplify my days and my life
  • Create gentle routines that supported me – especially on those tired days!
  • Making taking care of myself simple
  • Making our home more manageable and finding rhythms and routines to keep on top of it all
  • Realising that it was going to be very hard to feel like me again if I wasn’t doing any thing for me or making time to do the things that I enjoy

It wasn’t a dramatic change, but slowly I started realising that everything started feeling lighter.

More manageable.

Calmer.

Most importantly, I started to feel like me again.

That is what I want for you too.
